Photographer Frédéric Chaubin captured 90 buildings located in fourteen former Soviet republics and belonging to the fourth generation of Soviet architecture. His poetic imagery reveals the unexpected rebirth of imagination and creativity that took place between the 1970s and 1990s. These structures represent the chaotic impulses that come along with the disintegrating system. Their diversity heralded the end of the Soviet Union.
