Ladislav Lábus is one of the best Czech architects today, and his works have been gaining great respect and popularity not only among the professional public for several decades. The narrative publication now provides a summary of his work to date, including both award-winning new buildings, e.g. the newest apartment buildings in Prague's Modřany and Smíchov, a remarkable home for social services in Český Krumlov, and completely exceptional renovations: Prague's Langhans Palace, for which he won the Municipal Grand Prix architects, Edison transformation stations in Prague or the Prague Castle Riding School. The rich photographic documentation of his projects is interwoven with the texts of his colleagues and friends, who readably and erudition map individual areas of Lábus's extensive work, but also devote themselves to his long-term pedagogical work and the transformation of the Faculty of Architecture of CTU under his leadership to the position of dean.
