Cartographies of Hope: Stories of Social Change

The extensive publication looks back at the exhibition project at the DOX Center, which presented three dozen artists from all over the world. They tried to map various social changes through their works and connect their narratives into a larger common story. The aim of the project, including photographs, maps, objects, videos and conceptual works, was to stimulate the creation of platforms for positive change based on the collaboration of artists, social scientists, activists and citizens at the local and international level. At the time of the exhibition, these voices mostly did not go beyond the boundaries of their fields and did not present a sufficiently convincing big story that the broadest public would accept as their own.
